Zelfs op de afgelopen Keynote werd er uitgebreid aandacht aan besteed: Virginia Tech die als eerste universiteit (/instantie) het waagde om 1100 G5’s aan elkaar te koppelen tot één groot rekenmonster. Of je het nu wilt geloven of niet, maar de studenten en professoren bij Virginia Tech krijgen geen genoeg van Apple. Het betreffende bestuur aldaar heeft namelijk besloten om, naast de 1100 PowerMac G5’s, ook nog wat racks met Xserve G5’s te plaatsen.
