Door een geplaatste link op ons forum hebben we dit uit een artikel op MacCentral kunnen vinden.
De nieuwe technologie Instant-On, die in de nieuwe Quicktime 6.0 zit, verbeterd de live-streaming, zodat het niet meer hoeft te bufferen. Met de uitkomst van Windows Media Player 9 is dit ook verleden tijd, door de technologie FastStream. FastStream is vrijwel dezelfde technologie als Instant-On.
Dit komt uit een artikel van MacCentral. Frank Casanova, Apple’s director van QuickTime: “They announced what they call FastStream, which is basically our Instant-On technology — they just released the beta version, while we have shipped tens of millions of copies of it already in QuickTime 6.”
